The Miami Dolphins will be without star running back De’Von Achane for the remainder of the 2026 season after he suffered a torn ACL during Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Achane injured his knee early in Miami’s 24-10 loss to Kansas City. He left the game after recording 17 rushing yards on three carries.
The Dolphins placed Achane on injured reserve Monday, officially ending his 2026 season.
The injury is a major setback for Miami’s offense. Achane was coming off the best rushing season of his NFL career, recording 1,350 rushing yards in 2025 along with 488 receiving yards and 12 total touchdowns.
He also earned his first Pro Bowl selection last season and signed a four-year, $64 million contract extension with Miami during the offseason.
Through three games this season, Achane recorded 127 rushing yards and 49 receiving yards.
With Achane sidelined, the Dolphins will have to reorganize their backfield as they try to recover from an 0-3 start.
