A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop, but it does not mean a tornado has already been spotted or confirmed.Residents should monitor weather alerts, keep mobile phones charged and identify a safe interior room away from windows.

If a tornado warning is issued, seek shelter immediately.
