First Responder Awareness Sticker Program Launched in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit, together with the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department and JaxReady, has launched the First Responder Awareness Sticker Program.

New Sticker Initiative

The program provides stickers that signal a resident or vehicle occupant may have autism, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or another developmental disability, giving law enforcement and fire personnel advance notice of potential special needs during emergencies.

Distribution Details

Each household can receive up to three stickers – one for the home and two for vehicles belonging to caregivers. Stickers are placed near the front entrance and on the rear vehicle windows. Distribution will be handled by the Missing Persons Unit, Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, and JaxReady through the City of Jacksonville’s Emergency Preparedness Division.
