JSO has a new home starting today — Here is where Jacksonville residents can find police services

Jacksonville residents now have a new location for several frequently used Sheriff’s Office services.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Public Services Building officially opened Monday, Sept. 28, at 450 Magnolia Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204, bringing several public-facing services together under one roof.

According to JSO, residents can visit the new building for services including fingerprinting, public records requests, performer work applications and renewals, and recruitment services.The Public Services Building will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding federal holidays and weekends.

One of the changes designed to make visits easier is free public parking. Residents using services at the building can park on the first floor of the attached garage.JSO’s District 1 personnel will also operate from the Magnolia Street location after relocating from their previous offices on Norwood Avenue earlier this month.

JSO Headquarters Remains on Riverside AvenueThe new Public Services Building should not be confused with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office headquarters at 532 Riverside Avenue.

The Riverside location will continue to house JSO’s administrative and investigative offices. Security personnel there can also help direct visitors who are unsure which location they need.
