The Jacksonville Jaguars are leaving Cincinnati with another win after defeating the Bengals 22–17 on Sunday.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence delivered an efficient performance, completing 18 of 23 passes for 227 yards and one touchdown, without throwing an interception.
Jacksonville took a 13–3 lead into halftime, with Lawrence connecting with Brian Thomas for a seven-yard touchdown late in the second quarter.
The Bengals fought back in the second half and cut Jacksonville’s advantage to 16–10, but the Jaguars responded when Chris Rodriguez Jr. broke free for a 25-yard rushing touchdown with 6:42 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Cincinnati wasn’t finished.
Joe Burrow scored on a one-yard run with 3:33 remaining, cutting Jacksonville’s lead to 22–17 and setting up a tense finish.
The Bengals got the ball back and drove deep into Jaguars territory during the final two minutes, but Jacksonville’s defense held on and prevented Cincinnati from completing the comeback.
Lawrence then took a knee to close out the victory.
Jacksonville finished with 323 total yards, while Cincinnati produced 437. The Jaguars’ defense made the difference by intercepting Burrow twice despite the Bengals quarterback throwing for 428 yards.
The victory improves the Jaguars to 3–1, continuing a strong start to the season.
For Lawrence, the final numbers told the story: 227 passing yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions — and, most importantly, another Jaguars win.
