The Jacksonville Jaguars made an impressive start against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, October 11, with quarterback Trevor Lawrence delivering a spectacular 51-yard touchdown pass to Parker Washington.
The touchdown came during the first quarter at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, giving Jacksonville an early 7–0 lead.
Washington turned Lawrence’s pass into the longest receiving touchdown of his NFL career. The play was set up by a nine-yard reception from Travis Hunter, who returned to Jacksonville’s offensive action after limited involvement in recent games.
The Jaguars’ defense also started strongly, restricting Philadelphia to just 21 total yards over its first two possessions.
However, the Eagles responded as the game progressed, bringing the score level at 7–7 during the second quarter.
The matchup had already attracted attention following a chaotic opening kickoff, when Jacksonville’s Bryan Thomas Jr. and Philadelphia’s Jeremiah Trotter Jr. were ejected after an on-field confrontation.
Jacksonville entered Sunday’s game with a 3–1 record, while Philadelphia arrived in London at 2–2.
With both teams fighting for an important victory, the game remains closely contested.
The score was 7–7 during the second quarter at the latest verified update.
