21-Year-old driver arrested after allegedly fleeing fatal hit-and-run

DANIA BEACH, Fla. — October 18, 2026 — A 21-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash in Broward County, according to local reports.

The suspect, identified as Keila Maldonado, is accused of leaving the scene after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Sheridan Street in Dania Beach.

Investigators reportedly used vehicle debris recovered from the roadway to help identify the vehicle believed to have been involved in the collision.

Arrest Following Investigation

Authorities arrested Maldonado on October 17 in connection with the fatal crash.
