Head to the Beach Today, But Be Careful, It’s Better to Stay Out of the Water

Jacksonville is expected to have a warm and partly sunny Thursday, with breezy conditions at times.

But, I would avoid swimming in the ocean today.

Temperatures will rise into the upper 80s, with a chance of an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon. Tonight will be mostly mild, with temperatures dropping into the 70s.

For a beach day, sitting on the sand, walking, and enjoying the weather are fine, but I would avoid swimming in the ocean today, especially with children. There could also be an isolated shower later.
