Like a horror movie: Woman finds man hiding under her hotel bed

A 25-year-old man is facing charges after police say a woman discovered him hiding underneath her bed inside a Doral hotel room earlier this month.

Ritchel Calvaire was arrested on Sept. 10 and charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and resisting an officer without violence.

According to police, the incident happened at Provident Doral. The woman told investigators she woke up around 4 a.m. after feeling movement near the bed but eventually fell back asleep.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., she felt movement again. More than an hour later, she looked underneath the bed and discovered Calvaire hiding there.

According to the arrest report, Calvaire allegedly jumped over a balcony fence and entered the room through a rear glass sliding door while the occupants were sleeping.

Hotel management told police that Calvaire had stayed at the property just days earlier and had been instructed not to return.
