A dispute that reportedly began at a restaurant escalated into a shooting after one man followed another to his home in Jacksonville, according to police.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the confrontation initially began at a restaurant in St. Johns County. After the victim left, the dispute did not end there.

Investigators say the suspect followed the man into Duval County, eventually reaching his home, where the confrontation continued and the victim was shot in the hip.

The injured man was taken for medical treatment. Police said the suspect was later taken into custody.
